To bring lands of different categories into the fold of medicinal plant cultivation
To create man-day’s of employment during the lean period for the land owner as well as landless families
To ensure at least Rs 10,000.00 income from per acre of land cultivated under medicinal plants
To conserve and preserve the bio-diversity of the tribal area
To augment the family income and ensured for a sustainable life and livelihood towards integrated development of family and society at large

Activities
The forest pockets here harbour a variety of medicinal, economic and horticultural plants apart from being a abundant source for NTFP.
Mostly, species of plants which are known for their medicinal values have been scrutinized for their identity and distribution.
Data together with their cultivation, usage, pharmaceutical aspects, Updating the knowledge of the local tribal “Vaids”, protection, conservation and biodiversity of plant resources are studied and projects are taken up.
Projects on biodiversity medicinal and aromatic plants and environment have been taken up on large scale.
The project was grounded in 1st week of July by carrying out plantation of Amla and broad casting of Kalmegh
Beneficiaries
241 acres of land owned by 62 tribal beneficiaries are brought under the fold of medicinal plant cultivation
Outcome
The first harvest of 40 quintals Kalmegh in the month of April 2010 yield an income of Rs 40,000 was distributed to the tribal beneficiaries.
